Cochin Shipyards wins newbuild order of INR 1000 Crore from undisclosed European Client

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL) has received an order of 2 Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOV) newbuild from an undisclosed European Client. The estimated newbuilding contract is for Rs 1,000 crore as disclosed by the media sources.

The completion time for the 2 newbuild projects is 35 months. The vessels are being built for the services of offshore wind farm installations, its commissioning and maintenance.

The contract is signed with an option of four more newbuild units to be exercised by the shipowner within a period of one year. These type of specialized newbuild vessels order has been signed for the first time in India by any shipyard.
